Foot & Ankle Case Conference
Stuart convenes and facilitates a fortnightly Case Conference for Difficult Foot & Ankle Case presentations. In this on-line multi-disciplinary meeting Physiotherapy, Podiatry and Exercise Physiology practitioners all contribute to Best Practice Management of cases. These include diagnostic dilemmas, particularly complex cases, and non-responsive or delayed milestone cases. This format allows for a “meeting of the minds” to broaden the “Clinical Expertise” component to Best Practice (see below). It’s also a useful format to consider patient’s values and expectations, and any mismatch with pathology.

This 4 weekly on line meeting allows difficult cases to be discussed with some of Australia’s leading Foot & Ankle surgeons, and radiologists. Patient’s do not attend, but their cases are debated, to assist with best management of their condition. Consensus outcomes are then conveyed to the patient, and the treatment plan explained.
